1. Introduction
VoiceWeave ("Service", "we", "us") is a free experimental real-time multilingual experimental communication assistance interface. It enables two users to communicate across languages by translating voice and text messages in real time.
VoiceWeave is not a messaging platform, social network, or data storage service. It is designed to process communication transiently and discard content after delivery.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
1.1 Data Controller
VoiceWeave is operated by an independent individual developer acting as the data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws.

2. What VoiceWeave Is (and Is Not)
- VoiceWeave is a real-time translation tool for two-person conversations.
- VoiceWeave does not retain the semantic content of conversations after delivery. Limited session-level technical metadata may be temporarily stored for routing, moderation, and security purposes.
- VoiceWeave does not provide user accounts — authentication is handled by Telegram.
- VoiceWeave does not use cookies, advertising trackers, analytics profiling, or third-party scripts for behavioral tracking.
- VoiceWeave is provided as a free experimental MVP with no guarantee of availability or message retention.
3. Data We Collect
3.1 Authentication Data (via Telegram Login)
When you use VoiceWeave, authentication is handled through Telegram Login. We receive the following data from Telegram:
- Telegram User ID — a numeric identifier assigned by Telegram
- First Name — if provided in your Telegram profile (optional)
- Username — if set in your Telegram profile (optional)
We do not receive or store your phone number, email address, password, or any other Telegram account data. Telegram acts as an independent data controller for its own authentication service. See Telegram's Privacy Policy for details.
3.2 Conversation Content (Transient Processing)
Voice messages and text you send during a conversation session are processed in real time for the sole purpose of generating a translation for your conversation partner.
- Voice messages are transcribed to text, translated, and the audio is discarded.
- Text messages are translated and delivered.
- Conversation content is not permanently stored, recorded, or archived.
- We do not use conversation content for training models, advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than real-time delivery.
Use of the Service is voluntary. By initiating or participating in a conversation session, users explicitly request the processing of submitted voice or text content for the purpose of real-time translation.
3.3 Technical and Security Logs
To maintain service integrity and prevent abuse, we may temporarily store limited technical logs, including:
- Telegram User ID and session identifiers
- Timestamps of interactions
- Message metadata (language pair, message type, approximate length)
- Automated moderation flags (if content triggers safety filters)
- Automated moderation signals generated by internal or third-party safety systems used to prevent abuse or illegal activity
These logs are used exclusively for:
- Abuse prevention and spam detection
- Automated content moderation
- Security monitoring and incident response
- Rate limiting
Technical logs are automatically deleted after a limited retention period of 7 to 30 days.
3.4 Data We Do Not Collect
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Passwords
- Location data
- Device fingerprints
- IP addresses for tracking purposes
- Behavioral analytics or profiling data
- Payment or financial information
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process data under the following lawful bases as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Contractual Necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)) — processing of authentication data and conversation content is necessary to provide the real-time translation service you requested.
- Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — temporary security logs are maintained to protect the service from abuse, fraud, and illegal activity. This interest is balanced against your rights and does not involve profiling or behavioral tracking.
- Explicit Consent (Art. 6(1)(a), Art. 9(2)(a)) — in jurisdictions where voice data may be considered biometric or sensitive personal data under applicable law, processing is performed based on the user's explicit consent, provided by voluntarily initiating a conversation session and submitting voice content for translation.
This processing may involve the temporary transfer of conversation content to AI processing providers strictly for the purpose of fulfilling the requested real-time translation functionality.
5. Data Retention
- Conversation content: not stored. Processed transiently and discarded after delivery.
- Authentication data: retained while your user profile exists in the system. You may request deletion at any time.
- Technical/security logs: automatically deleted after 7 to 30 days.
- Moderation flags: retained only as long as necessary for safety review, then automatically purged.
- Transient processing: may involve short-term in-memory buffering required for translation and moderation. Such buffering is automatically cleared after processing is complete.
6. Third-Party Services
VoiceWeave uses the following third-party services:
- Telegram — for authentication (Telegram Login) and as the user interface for the bot. Telegram is an independent data controller and processes your data according to its own Privacy Policy.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, tracking pixels, social media plugins, or CDN services that process user data.
6.1 AI Processing Providers
- VoiceWeave uses third-party artificial intelligence services to perform speech recognition, transcription, and translation required for real-time communication.
- During an active conversation session, audio and text content may be transmitted to such AI processing providers strictly for the purpose of generating real-time translations.
- These providers process submitted content transiently and do not receive access to user identity information beyond session-level data required for processing.
- Submitted content is not used by VoiceWeave for advertising, analytics profiling, or behavioral tracking.
- AI service providers act as independent data processors and are contractually restricted from using submitted content for purposes other than real-time processing of the requested service.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for any commercial or marketing purpose.
We may disclose data only if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process (such as a court order), and only to the minimum extent necessary.
VoiceWeave reserves the right to disclose limited technical data (such as Telegram User ID, session metadata, and timestamps) if reasonably necessary to investigate suspected abuse, illegal activity, or violations of applicable law, or in response to a lawful request by competent authorities.
7.1 Service Processing
- VoiceWeave may engage external processing infrastructure, including AI-based processing systems, solely to perform the core functionality of real-time speech transcription and translation.
- Such processing occurs only during an active user session and only to the extent technically required to deliver the requested communication service.
7.2 User Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for the content of any voice or text messages submitted through the Service.
VoiceWeave does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for user-generated content.
The Service must not be used for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes. Any misuse of the Service remains the sole responsibility of the participating users.
7.3 No Obligation to Retain Data
VoiceWeave does not retain conversation content by design and is not obligated to store or preserve user communications for future disclosure.
Any data that is processed transiently and not stored at the time of a lawful request cannot be recovered or reconstructed by VoiceWeave.
Nothing in this Policy shall be interpreted as an obligation to retain user communications beyond the technical requirements necessary for the operation, security, or integrity of the Service.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit
- Access controls limiting who can access server infrastructure
- Automated abuse detection and rate limiting
- Minimal data collection by design — we cannot leak what we do not store
- Content processed through AI-based systems is transmitted over encrypted connections and is not retained by VoiceWeave beyond the duration required for real-time delivery
No system is 100% secure. As a free experimental service, VoiceWeave is provided without warranty. We encourage users not to share sensitive personal information through the service.
VoiceWeave is designed as a transient communication processor and does not implement archival functionality for user conversations.
9. Your Rights
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data
- Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest

Because VoiceWeave does not store conversation content, we cannot provide copies of past messages — they do not exist in our systems.
10. Automated Moderation
- VoiceWeave may implement automated moderation mechanisms to detect abuse, spam, or harmful use of the service.
- Such moderation may involve analysis of message metadata or temporarily processed content.
- Moderation is performed solely for service integrity and safety purposes and does not involve profiling or behavioral analytics.
10.1 No General Monitoring Obligation
VoiceWeave does not proactively monitor, review, or inspect user conversations.
Automated moderation mechanisms are implemented solely to detect technical abuse patterns or violations of service integrity and are not designed to perform general surveillance of user communications.
Nothing in this Policy shall be interpreted as an obligation for VoiceWeave to actively monitor all user interactions.
11. Children
VoiceWeave is not directed at children under the age of 16 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the service, contact us and we will delete any associated data.
12. International Data Transfers
VoiceWeave servers may be located outside of your country of residence. By using the service, you acknowledge that your data may be processed in a different jurisdiction. We take reasonable steps to ensure that data is protected in accordance with this policy regardless of where it is processed.
AI processing providers may be located in jurisdictions outside your country of residence.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

15. Accessibility Support and Limitations
VoiceWeave may process technical interaction data to detect and improve accessibility-related usability issues where such processing is necessary to ensure service functionality and safety.
16. Experimental Service Notice
- VoiceWeave is provided as an experimental communication tool.
- Users are advised not to share sensitive personal, financial, or confidential information during conversations.
- VoiceWeave is not intended for use in emergency, medical, legal, or mission-critical communications. The Service does not guarantee translation accuracy, delivery, or availability.
- The Service is not intended for use in decision-making contexts involving immigration status, employment evaluation, financial services, insurance, education, access to housing, or public benefits.
- Users are solely responsible for how they interpret and act upon translated information provided by the Service.
